4 years in the Posthouse

Pros

- 24/7 Person DOORMAN that can help open your door if you forgot your keys and watch your packages -Community - residents care about the building -Overall great area for groceries, walking, going out - I felt safe for the most part - They will clean the elevators, and take out trash -AMAZING LOCATION - People are respectful for the most part

Cons

- Heat is practically nonexistent , you will pay up to 500 dollars during winter months if you leave your heat on, I had a space heater almost everyday to make it berable and loads of covers - Housing loterry tennats devaule the place so the second floor can be a zombie land and strange people try to enter - I hired a private exterminator when i saw 1 mice sighting in my four years of living there - The gym is barely a gym only only treadmill is really good - There is high turnover for front desk staff and front desk can be super cold in the winter time - Your apartment is adjacent to another buuilding so depedening on the floor you are on, people can see you in your apartment -Balcony upstairs closes at 10pm even in summer, the furniture is so old and theres one working grill that's dirty, there's only one sink and no hose - It Okay to have a party but not the best space

Advice to the owners

Management only has one person to fix things, rodent/pest control it's not realistic, they need someone to work night shift if something happens

Had a generally good experience

Pros

My apartment was rent stable, had great amenities for the price (2 bath, 2 bath, laundry in unit, etc), and the space was big! I loved the spacious living room and bathrooms. The super was very responsive too.

Cons

As most NYC buildings, the walls are thin, so I would hear my neighbors (one year, we had a neighbor who played the sax at night), and I am sure they heard me and my roommate. Another con was really more when we signed up for the apartment; the management was slow with communication, which made it stressful to try sign (the management had changed now, so I am not sure if this is still as much of a problem). Once lease signed, I have not had to contact the management directly many times, so I had no other problems.
