Charming but noisy

Poorly managed building

Pros:
The building is in a great location.
Cons:
The building is poorly managed. Management and super are not responsive. I am not even sure if there’s is a super right now. In previous year under different management, the heat was never an issue, but now we’re barely getting any heat. Also, in cent times there’s sketchy people always hanging out up front.
Advice to owner:
Take care of the property. Turn on the heat.

Roaches (exterminator comes quarterly), repeat occurrences of no hot water, leaks, and slow response time to fix issues

Location, the super is nice
Cons:
Boiler issues every year. Lots of cockroaches, neighbors have had mice and even rats. The heat isn't consistent nor is the hot water

Overall good building but could improve

Updated units with washer/dryer combo and dishwasher, convenient location, friendly and relatively responsive management.
Cons:
Unfortunately like many older buildings we’ve struggled with bugs in and have heard animals in the walls. Exterminator comes once a quarter but they really need to come monthly. Additionally, there are a lot of people who hang outside the front of the building and leave a heaps of trash outside. Not managements fault, but the stairways in the building and garbage area outside is often messy and could be monitored and cleaned more frequently.
