Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent reviews of buildings managed by Philip Goldfarb depict well-kept properties with attentive doormen and generally clean common areas, appreciated especially for their convenient locations and spacious units. Many tenants find management responsive regarding immediate maintenance and security concerns. However, persistent issues include delayed heating and cooling activation, thin walls, noise from ongoing construction, high rent increases, and occasional pest problems. Some renters note management can be impersonal or slow in addressing non-urgent repairs and express frustration with laundry costs and package security. Overall, while the buildings offer good amenities and safety, management's focus on profitability sometimes impacts tenant satisfaction.

Good apartment experience

Pros

Generally responsive management and super, generally clean, nice laundry room. Very convenient location

Cons

Not always clear when they’re turning the water off - have had a couple instance where it was shut off for a couple hours with no notice. They did address it when contacted though

Great building well maintained

Pros

Well managed in terms of living (heat, clean, organized...) Good security system

Cons

No doorman or lockers so packages are vulnerable

Advice to the owners

Put in a storage locker in the basement, like many of us were told by the listing agent.
