Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews for the buildings managed under 352 Central Avenue reveal persistent challenges with management responsiveness, especially regarding timely repairs and pest control. While some appreciate the size, location, and rent stabilization of units, many report issues with cleanliness, garbage management, and heating, often feeling neglected by management. Noise levels and neighborhood disturbances affect living quality, and pests remain a frequent complaint linked to poorly maintained common areas. The property manager is often described as unhelpful or rude. Prospective renters can expect reasonably sized apartments in a convenient location but should be prepared for potential management difficulties and maintenance delays.

Rent stabilized and nice units but challenges with management

Pros

Nice updated units

Cons

Difficult to get ahold of manager when dealing with chronic pest control issues Street-facing units are loud

6 unit building built in 1931

Pros

Front door to the building has a camera and a lock that works most of the time. Close to trains and shops.

Cons

It takes forever to get them to fix anything (ex. heat, hot water, front door buzzer, holes, rats in the walls). You can be the best tenant by paying rent before the 1st every month and never calling 311 to complain and they will still ignore you and leave you to find your own solution. Property manager is very rude and she will scold you on the phone for asking for a repair. Tenants are not allowed to access the roof so it is hard to enjoy being outside during the nice weather months. It's not safe to sit on the sidewalk at night because of the homies always hanging out blasting their music (crazy loud), the junkies (always wanting something), plus the occasional shooting across the street. The outside space behind the building is only accessible through the unfinished basement and it's just broken cement covered with garbage and weeds so you can't sit back there either.

Advice to the owners

Maintain your building and fix things in a timely manner. Don't leave your tenants to freeze all winter. Get rid of the landfill behind the building as it is contributing to the rat problem inside the apartment walls.
