Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant reviews for buildings managed by Max Jacobs indicate a generally positive management approach with timely responsiveness and maintenance. Renters appreciate cleanliness, prompt repairs, and a knowledgeable, helpful staff. However, some concerns include efforts to raise rent aggressively upon lease renewals and noise issues due to thin walls and less natural light in units. Garbage management varies, with some tenants noting room for improvement. Pest control is well-handled, and water pressure and heating systems are usually satisfactory. Overall, the management is considered caring and attentive, though a few renters caution about rent hikes and occasional noise disturbances.

Generally Good Experience

Pros

Great location, very responsive and helpful super when I lived there, recently updated so in good shape

Cons

Management tried to drastically raise rent ever time we renewed the lease, thin walls/ bedroom doors that don't go all the way to the ground so sound travels very easily, not a ton of natural light aside from the front bedrooms
