Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback on buildings managed by Shahriar Victory reveals a mix of strengths and challenges. Residents praise the friendly and professional staff, quiet and family-friendly neighbors, and well-maintained common areas such as rooftop lounges with excellent views. However, there are recurring issues with elevator reliability, occasional pest infestations, inconsistent communication from management, and maintenance delays. Some renters highlight concerns about building infrastructure, including moisture problems around windows and aging fixtures. While many appreciate the staff’s efforts, there's a call for greater responsiveness, clearer communication, and addressing long-standing repair and board governance problems to improve overall tenant satisfaction.

Used to be Great

Pros

Staff are generally wonderful, the rooftop is amazing when available. (it regularly gets reserved for events by outside entities and tenants cannot use it then, often with little notice), Basic repairs are usually handled in a timely manner (used to be better, though). Huge windows. Excellent storage space. Honestly, all the dogs in the building might be the biggest pro.

Cons

2026 Update: The quality of life in this building has significantly deteriorated over the past few years, particularly in terms of communication, cleanliness, safety, and functionality. Millions of dollars were (supposedly) spent on elevator renovations, only to have them still regularly break down, leaving residents trapped inside. Rules are frequently unenforced with regard to pet waste disposal and trash. Communication between management and tenants lacks consistency and clarity. The Board of Trustees is questionably constituted. The excellent staff have been kept from unionizing and are, therefore, understandably frustrated by a lack of proper compensation and benefits commensurate with their efforts. The management company that owns many of the apartments can make life difficult when needed repair issues arise - they will also put rented apartments on the market for sale with no notice, thus terminating leases. There are very bad condensation issues around the windows that make the walls/paint peel and bubble and increase the risk of mold. The bathroom vanities, which have obviously been in place for years, are all rusted and kind of hideous. In general, the cheapest solution is often used to 'fix' things in apartments, and it shows.

Advice to the owners

Treat both your tenants and staff with more empathy and respect in general. Deal with the structural issues that cause leaking and lead to mold. Communicate clearly and promptly as Building issues arise.
