Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant feedback for buildings managed by MARIN MANAGEMENT CORPORATION indicates a mix of experiences. While many appreciate the cleanliness, responsiveness of superintendents, and quiet, affordable living in some buildings, complaints persist around inconsistent management policies, pest issues, and problematic maintenance quality. Garbage management typically functions well but can cause noise disturbances due to early morning pick-ups. Heating and water pressure are sometimes inconsistent, and the overall noise level varies significantly depending on the building’s location. Tenants value the respectful neighbors and upkeep of common areas but advise improved pest control and more flexible lease policies, especially during challenging times.

old building, decent for a first time renter
Former Tenant
Pros:
only studios/1 beds, mostly professional respectful tenants, close to subways
Cons:
mice, lots of bugs, cracked ceilings/walls/baseboards, radiator doesn’t work, no sunlight
Advice to owner:
better rodent control/accountability, better maintenance jobs (most are done sloppily and without care)

Good super, horrible management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great and responsive super, clean shared spaces
Cons:
Horrible building management that was not flexible at all during COVID times and kept the same policies of breaking the lease throughout the pandemic even though people were struggling. Garbage pick up arrives right outside the building 2-3am every day so if you live street side you will be woken up every night.

Good building. High recommend
Former Tenant
Pros:
Beautiful and affordable apartments. Very few tenants.
Cons:
VERY hot in my apartment. AC can’t get rid of all of the heat. Some cockroach issues. Had a massive leak once that needed substantial repairs
