Pretty good building

Pros

Maintenance is kept up-to-date. My apartment is rent-stabilized and there is no hassle against me because of that.

Cons

Heating is irregular - often too chilly when heat is left off too long.

Good management, well kept with a few exceptions

Pros

Accurate rent renewals, responsive super, friendly porter, nice ground care with some beautiful flowers & trees. My apartment rooms are big. Responsive for mandatory maintenance (painting, plumbing, appliance)

Cons

This is an old building frequently requiring apartment or building level shutdowns to repair plumbing or electrical. Currently (June 2022) the laundry room is closed due to a violation requiring installation of sprinklers.

Advice to the owners

Please advise tenants on a more timely and complete basis about building repairs.
