Great apartment to take care of yourself
Pros
Love my unit. Fantastic layout and closet space, amazing prewar details, super tall ceilings. Building is very quiet, hardly ever hear neighbors. Very few rodent or bugs. Trash collection very prompt. Really friendly building, only 10 units and neighbors all super nice. Management changed last year and was a HUGE improvement. Very responsive to requests. I had a gas leak and within a week I had a brand new stove, fully initiated by them. I didn’t even have to pester! Have been here 5 years and would love another 5
Cons
If you have medium-to-large furniture pieces they will not fit. Tried two different sofas and a loveseat, all rejected (finally found a modular option) Also note this is an old nyc building, so radiators do make noise. Not the outrageous metal on metal clanging I have experienced at other buildings, but significant sound. Does not bother me but could be an issue for light sleepers.
Advice to the owners
Appreciate the new online system and how responsive you are. Hallway and stairwells could definitely use a facelift, makes the building appear lower quality than it really is
