Crawling with Cockroaches
Pros
The building, street, and neighborhood are wonderful. Apartment itself was pretty, unique and well maintained (except for pests)
Cons
There was a cockroach infestation. Crawling out of the drains in the bathroom constantly. We also had mice eat their way inside to the apartment. They got in from behind the walls and ate a hole into a bedroom closet. We caught the mice right away and the owner had it taken care of but the owner blamed us for all the pests. Multiple times, she yelled at us that we are dirty and the pests were because of us even though the cockroaches were there shortly after move in and clearly live in the pipes.

-Unique Victorian charm with original features -Historic block - through floor apartments - landlord on premises/responsive
Cons
-infrastructure not well maintained -repairs not thorough/unannounced visits -roof leaks never fixed -roaches -gaslighting
Advice to the owners
Make the investment to solve the core of the problem instead of temporary band aid fixes and get someone to help you manage the property/finances
