Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant reviews highlight that buildings managed by Oscar Razo face significant challenges such as recurring bedbug issues, poor pest control, and abusive management practices. While some tenants appreciate the convenient location and responsive landlord, ongoing maintenance issues, pests, and theft incidents are major concerns. Residents suggest consistent pest control measures, better security for packages, and more professional management to address the recurring problems effectively. Mixed opinions on building conditions, neighbor conduct, and management responsiveness indicate a need for improved maintenance standards and tenant support to enhance overall living experiences.

Recurring bedbug issues and abusive management company

Pros

Location is great

Cons

We signed a lease that claimed there had been no bedbug issues in the past year, only to get bedbugs after a few months and then learn from other tenants that they had been a recurring issue in the building for many years, due to a tenant who kept having them and was unable to get rid of them--every several months, after a badly done extermination, they would travel from this other tenant's lower unit up to all the other units in the building. Management tried to force us to use one of the worst-reviewed extermination services in the city and it was a nightmare to try to resolve the problem with them. They repeatedly tried to bully and intimidate us into getting us to give up on asking for services they were required to provide. The management company (EK realty) has inflated their google reviews by having relatives and friends post fake reviews of the business, but they are the most evil management company we have dealt with in 10+ years of living in the city
