Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews for Sanford Nager's buildings show a mixed experience with management. While some buildings offer spacious, rent-stabilized units and have kind neighbors, many reviewers point to significant pest infestations (cockroaches, mice, bedbugs) that are inadequately addressed despite multiple extermination attempts. Cleanliness and garbage management vary widely, with some buildings being well-maintained and others described as filthy and neglected. Owner responsiveness is frequently criticized as slow or unresponsive, especially in resolving maintenance and pest control issues. Tenants advise better upkeep, timely repairs, and proactive pest control to improve living conditions, highlighting inconsistent management commitment across properties.

Reviews

The easiest move-in experience I've ever had

Pros

Shared kitchen with four other people and it worked fine. Everyone had different schedules, nobody was ever waiting around. Made pasta most nights, cleaned up after myself, no drama. Simple living done right.

Cons

Room is smaller than advertised. Not by much but it was noticeable

Too many roaches

Pros

Rent-stabilized, spacious, dishwasher

Cons

Cockroaches! Building sent exterminator many times but it didn't do anything
