Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant feedback for Jonathan Farhadian's buildings reveals a mixed experience. While some residents praise helpful management, renovated units, and convenient locations, others report significant issues like security deposit disputes, pest infestations, and unauthorized apartment showings. Cleanliness and garbage management vary widely, alongside inconsistent owner responsiveness. Heating can be excessively hot, and building noise and neighbor relations receive lukewarm ratings. Overall, renters advise improvements in transparency, pest control, and maintenance responsiveness. Prospective tenants should be cautious, as experiences range from satisfactory to problematic depending on specific units and management interactions.

Scammers with the security deposit + Rats in trash room

Pros

None - don't move here

Cons

Beware of Security Deposit Fraud + Rats I lived here for two years. They keep portions of security deposits from good tenants. They deducted 550 dollars from my security deposit for costs related to re-caulking the bathtub and painting the apartment, which is apartment maintenance, not the tenant's responsibility. This is a ploy. They keep portions of security deposits routinely as a tactic to profit Some other considerations: - Saw rats in the garbage room on the first floor many times. The bottom floor is a restaurant - Building manager tried to show our apartment without our consent when we weren't home by having the super use a master key The super doesn't speak English and you always have to call him - can never text.

Advice to the owners

Stop scamming people and fix your trash room

Had a pleasant time living here for 2 years

Pros

My unit was nicely renovated and was spacious. Management was very helpful whenever I needed it. Nice location and close to the subway. Building is cute.

Cons

Sometimes the apt would get too hot so I’d have to open the window.

Advice to the owners

Turn down heat in winter. It gets too hot ! Also some storage space would be nice
