The Landlord is a Slumlord. He calls them water bugs but the building is actually infested. They hid in everything and they were the size of small animals. We kept the apartment so clean, they started biting me in my sleep for lack of food: that’s how much of an issue this building has. And I would keep sighting them. This landlord is also slimy. Intense intimidation to get rent after infestation is obvious. Predatory contract. No buyout clause or allowance of replacements / lease breaks. Uses intimidation to scare tenants out of exercising their rights. Responsive and misrepresents issues in building. Uses family friends as exterminators. Bad guy, jovial fake persona, disgusting place. Knows what he’s doing.
