Unprofessional Superintendent and Horrible Neighbors
Former Tenant
Pros:
The apartment doors looked aesthetically appealing.
Cons:
My neighbors on the 4th floor were permitted to play music loudly, at all times of the day, and they could be as loud as they wanted without penalties. They lied about me and said that I was throwing trash out of the windows; neither my occasional visitors nor I had ever done such a thing. They kept telling the superintendent that I was doing it, and — without any proof that I was the one doing it — the superintendent kept sending unprofessional texts and harassing me. I asked him to show me proof I was the one doing it, and he — of course — furnished nothing. He sided with my toxic neighbors because he was friends with them. They lived in the building for many years, and these neighbors started making accusations when I politely asked them to turn their music down and to not play music and be loud at night and the early morning hours. They were not simply talking, they were being obnoxiously loud and blasting their music. After a while, I was no longer nice when I requested them to adjust their behaviors and be more mindful about other people's sleep times and relaxation times. They could have used headphones if they wanted to listen to loud music. Not many people enjoy feeling their floors vibrate or shake from loud music, especially high bass. I enjoy bass, but I do not enjoy it when people are blasting music whenever they feel like it and not having the sophistication to be mindful about other tenants.
