Review Summary for Msmc Residential Realty LLC
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Reviews for buildings managed by MSMC RESIDENTIAL REALTY LLC consistently praise well-maintained and clean premises with attentive doormen and responsive superintendents who address maintenance and pest issues effectively. Tenants commend affordable rents, especially for student housing linked to Mount Sinai, and appreciate amenities like elevators, gyms, and parking. However, some concerns include occasional delays in appliance replacement, small apartment kitchens, noise from medical facility proximity, and aging infrastructure needing updates like heating systems. Strict tenant eligibility and guest restrictions apply in certain buildings. Overall, renters find the management approachable and efficient, valuing the quiet, friendly neighbor environment and convenience despite some minor drawbacks.

One of the best buildigns in the MSH portfolio
Former Tenant

Love the doormen and the size of the apartments. VERY GOOD DEAL FOR MSH RESIDENTS. Honestly going to miss not living here because anything comparable is 3x in price in the area.

Super/Handymen are amazing.

The best deal in the city
Former Tenant
Pros:
Welcome to NYC and Sinai! This building, aside from one tenant, are all Sinai employees. The super is fantastic and cares more about the apartment than anyone. Prewar building has charm and is maintained well. Problems are few and far between and resolved immediately. The price cannot be beat except by the location. Central Park is your yard and it is amazing in the high 90s.
Cons:
You’ll get used to the sirens. You can’t exceed your three year stay and neighbors are cold and transient.

Very old building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Clean, still belongs to Upper East side, although very close to East Harlem.
Quiet except there are a lot of ambulance as it's close to the Mont Sinai Hospital.
Safe as the residents mostly are post-doctors who are well educated.
Cons:
Building very old, rooms very small. The heating system is crazy, very loud at night.
Advice to owner:
Renew the heating system.

Wonderful affordable student housing
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location, well maintained, great amenities, affordable, quiet, clean.
Cons:
Only for medical students associated with Mount Sinai. Significant restrictions (e g no guests allowed in the building) during COVID. All apartments require living with 3-5 roommates, no housing for couples or families.

Pros:
the doorman (especially Malcolm) are excellent; and they are super quick with maintenance requests; parking on site available
Cons:
only 3 elevators and they use one daily to collect recyclables
Advice to owner:
Keep it up; love the building
