Don't Waste Your Time

Pros

-The area around the building is incredible for cheap delicious food and access to transit at Grand St (B/D) or Delancey-Essex (F/M/J/Z). I miss it everyday. I do not miss this building though. -Laundromat is a block down across the street from the building - super nice staff and decent prices too

Cons

-Worst super/building management I've ever dealt with in NY. Extremely slow to respond to problems - my buzzer broke every other week and would take forever to get fixed. -Building security is paper thin - it's honestly a miracle that I never got a package stolen while I lived here - one time my annoying next-door neighbor forgot his key and drunkenly buzzed everyone in the building at 3 in the morning before he decided to break down both front doors with his legs. It worked and he got inside the building and the locks remained broken for days afterwards. Literally anyone off the street could just open the door and walk in. -Vestibule area in the building was always smelling like garbage and was generally rundown looking/unkept - no real area for packages so they just get thrown at the top of the staircase in direct sight of the outdoors. -Allen St and Orchard St are extremely busy/noisy during the day and at night on the weekends - I personally got used to it pretty fast but if you have a problem with noise it might be an issue for you

Advice to the owners

Be more considerate/responsive to your tenants who are paying a ridiculous amount of money to live in your building, install cameras for security in the building hallway, stop price gouging for literally zero amenities
