Pros:
Prime location- close to subways and restaurants, great views from higher floors, amenities, clean and quiet building, and friendly and responsive staff.
Cons:
Rent is overpriced, and management can be rude.
The windows are poorly made, so much cold air enters the unit in the winter and heat in the summer. The heat/AC doesn’t heat or cool the unit well and the electric bill triples when turned on. The windows also do not block out sound, and it gets very nosy.
The kitchen cabinets can’t store much or let alone hold heavy items such as small cans of beans, they are poorly made. The fridge is small and the shelves are not sturdy.
The floors dip and are poorly made, you can smell when someone is smoking and cooking.
The building is pet friendly, dogs have urinated in the elevators and in front of the building which leaves behind a strong urine odor. Dogs are running around without a leash in shared spaces including the lobby.
The doors in the lobby do not lock, and the concierge can be found sleeping which is a safety concern.
The amenities close early fob stops working at 10 pm, but amenities close at 11 pm.
Packages get mixed up
Not enough closet space and the closets are not sturdy.
Last-minute notice of any closures/shutdowns
Unit washer- uses steaming hot water that damages clothes.
Parking ASP is once a week but can be difficult to find a spot.
Advice to owner:
Amenities- longer hours possibly midnight closer or 24 hours access. Have an opt-in cost option for preferred amenities instead of flat-fee.
