Beware - Unprofessional and Disrespectful Management

Pros

Location is good

Cons

I recently lived at 124 Wyckoff Ave and unfortunately had a negative experience with the landlord/management. Unprofessional Communication: They frequently displayed rude and sexist behavior. When I requested repairs, such as a non-functioning AC unit, I was called "too demanding" instead of receiving help. Unresponsive Management: Getting basic tasks completed, such as obtaining signatures for paperwork or addressing broken amenities, was a constant struggle. Unhygienic Conditions: There were also issues with garbage as there is no space in the building. This lack of proper garbage management creates unsanitary conditions. The landlord tricked us into paying three months rent in advance and was threatening to not return it. Overall: My experience at 124 Wyckoff Ave was marred by unprofessional and disrespectful management. If you are looking for a comfortable and well-maintained living space with responsive landlords, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.

Predator Landlord and Broker / heat is not working

Pros

My neighbors are nice. actually spacious

Cons

The heat was not working, the apartment was nasty when we moved in and he refused to countersign. He also asked us to pay through Venmo because he does not want to have problem with his account. we signed the lease, we paid (5 months worth), and we got the keys (all written approval from the Broker from Compass) but after we moved in for 6 days, the landlord stated he wouldn't sign because we gave him a headache because we asked him to fix the heater and ac that is not working. He told us he wanted to fix things in peace and that we should go find a new apartment ASAP and charged us for the time that we were staying. (we end up getting our money back) He also talked down on us and our friends, looked at my roommate inappropriately, and raised his voice multiple times.
