Does what it needs
Pros
You’re pretty much allowed to do what you need to the apartment in terms of style. There aren’t really any restrictions. The walls are so thick it’s amazing - you can’t really hear anyone in your unit let alone building. There are only 8 units but each has 4 bedrooms - so it limits the amount of people in the building.
Cons
The owners don’t really seem to care about the building. There is constant flooding in the basement (tenants do not have access), and when it rains there is an awful smell. There has been constant battle about the trash situation and lack of tidiness. As well, the front door constant has trouble closing in extreme weather (heat or cold), making it easy for people to come in and steal packages.
Advice to the owners
Have a live in super who can do daily maintenance and upkeep on the building or give tenants the contact info of someone who can deal with things directly in the building in a timely manner
Love living here
Pros
Property managers are pretty responsive and the rents are reasonable for the area.
Cons
Definitely an old building which gets dirty quite fast - I wish the management was more on top of cleaning.
