Okay, but not worth the consistent large increases in rent
Pros
Good floor plans and the character of the building is nice.
Cons
The owner’s son and nephew manage everything. They are a bit dishonest in general, and will do the absolute bare minimum on any issues you raise. The building directly next door is a senior housing shelter (Frederic Fleming house), and many of the residents are out front smoking pretty much all day every day, in front of 441, and sit on the stoop of 441 smoking. If you’re in a street facing apartment you cannot have your windows open without the smell of smoke coming directly in.
Advice to the owners
Bring back an actual super to address maintenance requests.
