Affordable Astoria Living
Former Tenant
Pros:
Rent was affordable and I felt very safe in the area. Landlord was very considerate and responsive for repairs/appliance issues.
Cons:
Our downstairs neighbors had a SCREAMING toddler who they never attempted to quiet. They also would randomly have 3 AM screaming matches. This isn’t building specific and can happen anywhere if you’re unlucky enough to have inconsiderate neighbors.

Building wise, the landlord completely dropped the ball when we had a mice infestation, first waiting over a week to get an exterminator to come, and then essentially shrugging their shoulders when we had more signs of mice before we moved out. It got pretty disgusting (I killed 7 over a few days).
