Review Summary for Ogrin Associates
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant reviews of buildings managed by OGRIN ASSOCIATES present a mixed picture. While some residents commend well-maintained apartments, quiet environments, and generally responsive supers at certain locations, a recurring theme is inconsistent management quality. Several tenants report issues with pest infestations, heating failures, poor garbage management, and slow or unresponsive maintenance, particularly regarding urgent repairs like heating and water leaks. Some also cite problems with unprofessional staff and deteriorating building conditions that are not promptly addressed. Prospective renters should expect variability in service and upkeep depending on the specific building, suggesting that management responsiveness and maintenance standards could benefit from improvement across their portfolio.

Good experience living here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Quiet in the back apartments of the building. Never issues with heat/hot water. Super was fairly responsive
Cons:
There were a lot of birds in the alley between the neighboring buildings. They pooped all over windows and ac unit.
Advice to owner:
Replace the carpet in the hallways and stairwell

Dust, roaches, mice, disrepair, creepy super, and broken windows for high prices
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location location location
Cons:
There are mice and roaches running around. A thick layer of dust in the halls. Stairs falling apart. Almost no light. No heat for months. A super that creeps and follows. You can get better deals for nicer places elsewhere. They trick people who are not from the area. Prices are absurd.
Advice to owner:
Try not being a sociopath and get a vacuum.

Not a great experience
Former Tenant
Pros:
The outside looks nice and the location is great. There’s so much around it that makes it very convenient. There’s Q line is so close.
Cons:
MANAGEMENT!!!! This building has terrible management. When we moved in, many of the light fixtures were not working, and we emailed and emailed for there to be a fix for this, which never happened. Worst of all however was the super, who would never respond to texts and then blame you for not having the work completed. When we were moving out he made it such a pain to deal with moving things. He would also just go smoke outside when he said he would fix things. The trash situation was bad too as the building next door’s super would always get mad about the smallest thing and would chew you out.
Advice to owner:
Get a super who actually will work with tenents and respond to your tenets.
