Pros:
Although it’s close to the trains and pretty affordable for New York City it isn’t work the headaches.
Cons:
Unfortunately because it is a prewar building it comes with many of the quirks. The landlord is upstairs, repairs will be done by friends of the owner, and it seems the unit was poorly maintained throughout the lease of the previous tenets and as a result we suffered through tar seeping walls and cabinets, fly infestations and a broken fridge. During move in we had cleaners come in as it was absolutely filthy and even they couldn’t make it a comfortable place to live. On StreetEasy it mentions backyard access and recently renovated however both of those are inaccurate
