Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews for buildings managed by Nathaniel Rahav reveal a mixed experience. While some residents praise the management team's responsiveness, the overall maintenance quality across properties is inconsistent. Common issues include poor sound insulation, insufficient heating, and problems with cleanliness and garbage management. Though pest control receives favorable remarks, several apartments suffer from noise disturbances due to thin walls. Amenities like water pressure and management attentiveness shine through in the reviews. However, many tenants express frustration over the building's aging infrastructure and the need for timely maintenance improvements. Overall, potential renters should weigh the appealing management against significant upkeep concerns.

Good Staff but poorly managed building

Pros

Very nice and respectful management team Flexible Always willing to help

Cons

The building is old, and the walls are extremely thin. I can hear both the neighbor next to me and the neighbor below me walking around in their apartments. The noise is unbearable. I can also hear normal everyday activities such as cabinets being slammed, phone conversations, and other basic household noise. There is inadequate heating during the winter, and the apartments are poorly insulated from the cold. Maintenance issues are rarely properly addressed the repairs feel more like temporary band-aids rather than fixing the actual root of the problem. The garbage regularly overflows, causing terrible smells and attracting insects, and there is no on-site super in the building. There is also frequently a strong smell of cigarette smoke throughout the building, and management does nothing meaningful to address it.

Advice to the owners

Work with a contractor to improve the building’s sound insulation, hire an in-house super, and start taking your tenants’ concerns seriously.

Awesome building in the heights

Pros

Management is really great, kind, and responsive Atrium in the building allows all for many windows and great natural light Apartments are spacious

Cons

Roaches in the summer; management is very helpful but despite exterminators the bugs stay through the summer. They go away in the fall.
