No Heat in Winter

Pros

•Safe Neighborhood •Decent amount of space •Super does nice gardening •6 blocks from L train

Cons

•No heat in the winter. Landlord hires unprofessional repair men who don’t fix the problem. He acts like he doesn’t believe the tenants. •Leaky sink, ceiling, toilet. Non permanent bandaid repairs made •Super is loud and obnoxious. Takes over the backyard we pay for with a pigeon coop. •Neighbors are inconsiderate. Let children yell and run through hallway and ignore polite requests to turn down music late in the night on weekdays.

Advice to the owners

Listen to your tenants. Hire professional repair people. Fix the boiler. Stop bandaid repairs and fix issues permanently. Stop being defensive and admit when wrong. Learn to apologize. Don’t raise the rent when there is no heat.
