Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent reviews of buildings managed by Michael Walsh reveal a mixed experience for tenants. Some properties boast great locations, quiet environments, and helpful superintendents who maintain the buildings well. Residents appreciate responsive management and a community vibe, especially in co-op settings. However, pest control remains a persistent issue in a few buildings, with recurrent mice and roach problems noted. Garbage management and owner responsiveness receive average marks, with occasional concerns about accessibility and maintenance delays. Noise levels vary depending on neighbors, and some tenants point out aged infrastructure like old plumbing. Overall, expect a balance of attentive management with room for improvement in pest control and cleanliness.

Wonderful for families, long term living by the city

Pros

Great live in super in a co-op building. Responsive. Generally quiet with lots of families. Lots of space and great neighborhood. Plenty of laundry and building maintenance is on top of everything.

Cons

While walls are thick, floors are really thin. You can hear a lot. Depending on your neighbor, you’ll have to be very mindful of noise/group hangs. It’s an old building with old plumbing. You will get some bugs crawling around but there’s an exterminator you can sign up for biweekly. This is a co-op so you’re renting from a unit owner. My unit owner isn’t that responsive but will get you an answer to any questions.
