OK building, difficult management
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is beautiful and quiet. Amazing views of the city. Trash is handled 2x weekly by a team and they keep up the common hallways and elevator well. Very quiet building.
Cons:
The roof deck needs repair.
Recurring issues with HVAC and insulating windows (can get starkly cold or hot in winter/summer).
Mild pest issues. I've just started to see roaches for the first time after 2 years of living here.
Ventilation problems and plumbing problems.
Getting anything fixed requires reaching out to the super and landlord countless times, but even then it is no guarantee they will help you.
Advice to owner:
Azad is pretty difficult to communicate with. He needs to be clear and proactively communicative with tenants about repairs, if he's acknowledged receipt of messages, and being transparent about building issues.
