Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant reviews for buildings managed by Howard Jacobson indicate a varied experience among residents. Many appreciate the high standard of cleanliness and effective garbage management alongside responsive ownership. The buildings offer good amenities, including monthly pest control and strong water pressure. However, concerns emerge regarding noise levels, particularly from street traffic, and some renters have faced significant rent increases. While some tenants enjoy the friendly neighborhood atmosphere and proximity to public transport, others express frustration over poor insulation and management’s responsiveness. Overall, the buildings have their merits, but potential renters should weigh noise and pricing carefully.

I like it!

Pros

Close to the L. Safe packages. Clean inside and outside.

Cons

Walls are thin.

Former tenant·Over 3 years ago

Great building, ridiculous prices

Pros

I loved the building—beautiful exposed brick, good appliances, got tons of sun on the 5th floor, fun neighborhood. Exterminator came monthly, never any problem with bugs.

Cons

Even on the top floor you hear a lot of street noise. The heating is also loud, but we quickly got used to both. We moved to the building in 2020, and the following year our rent doubled.
