Good co-op, older building

Pros:

Pet friendly, lots of outdoor space. Rent very competitive compared to this area.

Cons:

Older building, sometimes pests come in.

Good building staff but not for everyone

Pros:

Building staff (lobby, porters, maintenence personnel) are all very professional and address any issues timely

Cons:

Board consists of a select group of folks that are mostly focused on interests that may not be reflective of all shareholders in the co-op, and although this is not uncommon in NYC co-ops, it can become a struggle to get approval on certain matters that require the board approval

Great co-op in downtown BK

Pros:

Friendly doormen; great location; easy access to all subways; well maintained grounds

Cons:

Building has older windows (which are in the process of being replaced)

Nothing to share

great doormen, great area, very convenient subway access

Cons:

waterbugs after 6 exterminator visits, lots of older neighbors so living here as a young person can be a little out of place

Advice to owner:

update kitchens and bathrooms in rental units
