Great if you like to party
Former Tenant
Pros:
This is tough. I wouldn't say I "liked" anything so much as tolerated it.
Cons:
This street is the loudest one in harlem. I expected some noise, but fireworks and Bluetooth speakers go until 4 or 5am on some nights (WEEKNIGHTS). Things hanging on my bedroom walls will shake from the bass pumping on the street, and I am on an upper floor. My college dorm was more peaceful than this is. When things break, there's a 50/50 chance someone will respond to fix it (our bathroom mirror has been off the hinges since December 2019). The front doors haven't locked correctly in a year and packages get stolen most of the time. I send my packages to a friend now to prevent that.
Advice to owner:
Property owner is incredibly hard to get in contact with, since most of their systems are automated. It doesn't seem like they check messages often. They should invest in higher quality details (doorknobs that work, hinges that stay on, floor finisher than doesn't peel off onto our socks and bare feet)
