Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews of buildings managed by Moses Eckstein reveal a mix of experiences. Apartments tend to be large with friendly, long-term neighbors, creating a community feel. However, many buildings suffer from cleanliness issues, pest problems (especially roaches and mice), and outdated or poorly maintained facilities. Heating can be unreliable during winter, and garbage management is often inadequate. While some tenants acknowledge the superintendents' efforts, responsiveness from the owner is frequently rated as slow or inconsistent. Suggestions mainly focus on better maintenance, pest control, and communication improvements to enhance living conditions. Overall, the management shows potential but requires more proactive upkeep and tenant engagement.

Is any large apartment perfect?

Pros

Many wonderful humans live here who have been here a long time. They care and know and love each other which is what you hope for in a building like this! Super is involved and kind. Large apartments. Some fun character in many of them. Generally quiet apartment building.

Cons

Pretty dirty, roaches, not great trash solutions, landlord is cheap and doesn’t want to pay for anything to improve building, also not professional in his communication skills with his tenants. Some tenants can be a bit unruly/get into trouble but you will find that anywhere.

Advice to the owners

Repair and clean the building in effective ways. It’s slowly losing value by the neglect. Listen to the tenants that live here and want to make it a better place.

Honest review of this Building

Pros

Very Huge Apartments with High Ceilings. Quiet clean Building. Very family oriented people.

Cons

Very dated and Old school. The Super takes 9 years to fix problems in the Building. The Cabinets / Sinks / knobs etc are very old and Broken. Lots of Mold under the sinks in the Bathroom and Kitchen area.

Advice to the owners

Update the Kitchen and Bathrooms in this Building. Invest in real Handy men to fix problems within the Building.
