Review Summary for Carnegie Hill Properties
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Tenants of Carnegie Hill Properties report a mixed experience regarding management. Positive feedback highlights well-kept buildings, attentive doormen, quick issue resolution, and convenient locations with good amenities. However, concerns include inconsistent responsiveness from management, unresolved maintenance problems such as water discoloration and appliance issues, and occasional attempts at unexpected charges. Some residents describe management as slow or difficult to communicate with, with frustrations over rent increases and building cleanliness. Prospective renters should expect a generally attractive building with competent service, though preparedness for occasional management delays and higher rent costs may be necessary.

Brown hot water
Former Tenant
Pros:
Elevator, good sized apartments
Cons:
I had a constant issue with the hot water being completely brown in this building. I lived in two units and both had the same issue. The building would not give me a rent concession while the issue persisted (the issue was never resolved)

Nice luxury building on the upper west side
Former Tenant

Big rent increases year after year, especially for small space

Condescending Super Pretty Building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Pretty common areas, except for floor hallways.
Cons:
The Super was annoying to work with. He would deny issues existed. Our freezer would have sheets of ice at the bottom and eventually leak all over the floor. He refused to fix it/replace it. And said it’s something we should deal with.

Lipstick on a pig
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building looks amazing at first pass through (but it’s not) and the location is great.
Cons:
Terrible terrible terrible management. I’ve been in nyc over a decade, worst building I’ve lived in! Barely clean. They try to sneak in charges all the time. The landlord is truly a bad person, nickel and dimes. Takes weeks for management to respond. I had to call a lawyer to email them to fix my broken heat! Highly recommend literally anywhere else.
