Former tenant·Over 3 years ago

Oh boy, this building sucks

Pros

It's near the Grand stop of the L train, sound doesn't travel much

Cons

It's a shithole. The owner simply leaves the building without a buzzer or even a doorbell for years even though we complain about it constantly. Oh yeah, and it's a walk-up, with old af, warped wooden stairs, so on top of having to write your number at every delivery instruction and having to be home to receive any packages in order to manually open the door you also need to go up and down flights of stairs every time you do so. Oh, and when a neighbor steals your packages don't even bother asking for footage, the cameras are fake. In goddamn East Williamsburg, fake cams. You're literally holding on to faith and door locks to stay safe. The backyard is left barren and useless and the weeds grow without being cleared til the rats start showing. Some neighbors tried to make a hang out space there at their own expense but the only way to get there is through the extremely disgusting, semi rotten, full of human sized holes in the walls, spider webs, dust, mold etc, basement. Plus it's been abandoned there since the cold weather came anyway and it all kinda fell apart. So it's better to just ignore it. The apartment itself is small, narrow and old and constantly requires fixing something. It's very poorly painted too. The locks malfunction sometimes so you'll have a door stuck locked and will need to use the other every now and then. The pipes are very loud. They'll keep it sanitary enough to not get fined and will fix plumbing, and that's it. Anything else in the building is gonna fall apart and stay broken and they will ignore anyone who complains about it.

Advice to the owners

Get your shit together, you moron
