Nice building to live in

Pros

- Building is very clean. Trash room always spotless and I've never seen a pest - Convenient location next to B/C and 2/3 - No noise issues - Management is chill - Friendly neighbors - Cute rooftop

Cons

- Super is useless. My landlord would hire external contractors because she didn't trust him either - Heat is very hit or miss (too hot or not hot enough)

Good option for longer-term accommodation in NYC without breaking the bank

Pros

Hotel 17 has a unique, old-school NYC charm that’s hard to come by in modern apartment buildings. It’s a little vintage, yes, but in a cozy way that feels very “New York.” Rooms are spacious enough for comfortable living, though they’re on the simpler side. The building is older, so expect some quirks (the occasional creaky floor, some retro decor), but for me, this adds to the charm.

Cons

It’s an older building in a lively area, so there can be some street noise, but it’s not unbearable. If you’re a light sleeper, I’d suggest bringing earplugs. The heating works well in winter, and the windows let in a good amount of light.
