Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant feedback regarding buildings managed by Joseph Banda presents a mixed picture. Positive remarks highlight responsive management, especially in smaller buildings with attentive supers and cleanliness in well-kept buildings. Several tenants appreciate amenities like laundry, gyms, and quiet neighborhoods. Conversely, recurrent issues include inconsistent maintenance, especially with heating systems and water leaks, pest infestations, garbage management, and thin walls causing noise problems. Many express frustration over delayed responses to urgent repairs and unresolved mold or rat problems. Rent levels are sometimes seen as high for the condition. Overall, management’s responsiveness varies significantly, with some buildings well-handled, while others suffer from neglect and lack of accountability.

Cute neighborhood, shoddy management

Pros

the neighbors are awesome and being close to the park is amazing

Cons

management is a mess, constantly changing staff. my neighbors ceiling collapsed and flooded due to plumbing issues in the building. not awesome.

Former tenant·4 hours ago

My mom has lived here for over 40 years, the renovations were a huge improvement

Pros

I love that there are only 8 units in the entire building

Cons

I’m hoping they find tenants with children to move in permanently so my children can have friends, similar to the way I grew up. Kids need a strong foundation!

Advice to the owners

all backyard to be a common area instead of just for one apartment.
