Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback regarding buildings managed by Abe Betesh reveals significant concerns about management and building maintenance. Many reviews point to poor cleanliness, ineffective garbage management, and pest issues, often requiring tenants to address problems themselves. Heating and water pressure quality vary across locations, but responsiveness from management is frequently described as slow or inadequate. Tenant composition and noise levels are noted negatively in some buildings, contributing to an unpleasant living environment. While a few buildings offer spacious units and attractive views, overall management is criticized for neglecting upkeep, security, and tenant screening. Prospective renters should expect challenges related to maintenance and tenant support under this landlord's management.

Reviews

Former tenant·Over 2 years ago

Worst landlord

Pros

Great heat and hot water

Cons

The amount of bugs coming from construction next door building is ridiculous and they don’t send exterminator you have to do that yourself out of pocket. No one comes to clean buildings you have to maintain the property yourself or get hurt.

Advice to the owners

Get a maintenance team that comes to check in the building and tenant

Former tenant·Over 2 years ago

Every man for themselves

Pros

Cheap rent compared to market

Cons

Slum lords. Rent to unruly tenants. Look elsewhere

Advice to the owners

Invest in your building with the money from tenants and the voucher programs that line your pockets. That mean pest control, better garbage area, cleaning and sanitizing the building often, upgrade cheap boilers and thermostats, update wiring - lights always blow and flicker. Screen tenants or at least establish a package room so the ghettos don’t take people parcels instead of trying to house over night day care and medical centers that are gone before the year ends each year.
