Great building with typical nyc issues

Pros

Great location. The building has beautiful views, staff is really great. The amenities are good and well maintained. Beautiful rooftop

Cons

Management is not super responsive and there are frequent elevator issues. I’ve lived in the building for 5 years and I know the board is working on finding a more permanent solution to fix the elevators. In the meantime, we deal with elevators being out frequently in exchange for cheaper rent.

Precarious Building with Dim Future

Great location, amenities are decent

ELEVATORS. Those are broken ALL the time. Right now there is NO TIMELINE for fixing one of the two elevators! The building AC is also not really working - very hot. The views used to be nice but now directly looking into a new condo building. North side will soon be in a similar boat. Doormen are also very unfriendly.

Advice to the owners

Fix the elevators for good and get out of debt with the hotel so you can actually maintain the boilers and coolers.
