Homeless encampment IN THE HALLWAY & useless management
Pros
the other tenants in the building were nice
Cons
Ceilings leak. Windows leak. Walls (somehow) leak. There was a homeless man living in the hallway (very narrow, only one staircase) all winter and management did nothing. This man was actively doing dr*gs, smoking, and moving all of his belongings inside, and management acted like we were complaining about the smallest issue. We asked for an automatic lock to be placed on the front door to solve the issue (it doesn't lock) and management said they "didn't know what that was." It's a lock. I'm sure the woman who answers the emails/phone has no authority, but she's also incredibly rude. You have to ask her 37 times for the simplest answer, and when she does answer, she yells at you for following up. The super, although a seemingly nice man, fixes every issue (and leak) with caulk, only for it to get rained away in the next storm. Also, when we moved in, there was atrocious mold in one of the rooms. We had to fix it ourselves, then send our receipts to management, who took forever to give us an answer on reimbursement. They won't give us our security deposit back. Like everything else, we've asked 100 times and have gotten no answer. Don't rent from these people.
Advice to the owners
Honestly never change jobs. You'll never find another job where you can be this useless
Good and nice neighborhood
Pros
Neighbors, quiet. Laundry in building
Cons
Shower is spotty. Not insulated
