Unfriendly management, nice street
Former Tenant
Pros:
Quiet street, only 3 units total
Cons:
Old building with creaky floors and no noise proofing - could hear neighbors walking around a lot. Management was unresponsive and mean at times. Heat issues in winter

They never returned our security deposit
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice area. Relatively spacious. Big kitchens.
Cons:
They did not return our security deposit. They didn't explain why. Laundry machine was broken despite numerous attempts to fix. Landlord was uncommunicative. Beware.
Advice to owner:
Communicate with your tenants

Great building. Great neighborhood.
Former Tenant
Pros:
The neighborhood is one of the best. The building is really close to the Graham ave L stop. The building manager is really helpful and responsive. The apartments are well maintained. The rooftop is incredible too.
Cons:
The only drawback is that the apartments are really just one bedroom apartments. The second bedroom has no windows so it’s not really ideal for a roommate/apartment sharing situation.

Criminal owner/landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
It was cheap.
Cons:
Landlord did not return security deposits to anyone in the building. In the case of my unit, we repainted at our own expense and left it flawless. When we attempted to reach out for our security deposit, the owner’s proxy made false accusations of illegal activity to threaten/blackmail us in order to avoid returning our deposit. When we tracked down the owner in his $7 million Florida residence and sent requests via certified mail for our security c/o our attorney, they were returned unopened. Eventually we let it drop. Do NOT live here if the ownership has not changed since 2014. Further research into this owner showed probable mafia ties.
