Residents report chronic issues with cleanliness, pest infestations including roaches and mice, unsafe conditions such as illegal gas lines and lead presence, and inadequate maintenance. Garbage management is severely lacking, with hallways and exteriors often filthy. Security problems include unlocked front doors and unsecured mailboxes. The consensus strongly advises against renting here, citing hazardous conditions and unprofessional management, reflecting a need for substantial intervention or ownership change.

Avoid at all costs

Pros

Underpriced for the neighborhood and close to the subway

Cons

All of the other reviews are true and I wished I listened. Landlords are thieves, never made one repair in years. Giant roaches all year long. Collapsing roof inside the apartment and in common areas. Disgusting nasty garbage mess in hallways, in front of building. No intercom. Totally unlocked mailboxes. Mice infestation and droppings everywhere. LOOK UP THE NUMBER OF DOB VIOLATIONS! Do not rent here under any circumstances. They will steal your security deposit. They will illegally evict you if you make maintenance requests. They have thousands in debt due to non-payment to utility companies, you will lose your utility access because owners are a total incompetent nightmare to deal with. Landlord will harass you if they see you in the hallway.

Don't move here

Pros

The apartments are large, and so are the cockroaches.

Cons

The real estate agent will lie to your face about repairs being made and how responsive the landlord is. If you move in, the landlord will ignore your emails. Nothing will get fixed. Look up the building violations, there are 60 active ones. There is lead in the building and it was not disclosed. Constant roach and mice infestations. Illegal gas lines, gas leaks, faulty wiring, and not up to fire code. This place is a death trap and will make you miserable. No mailbox locks (just open mail) and no trash system. I could go on. Just don't move here.

Advice to the owners

Sell the building to someone who either cares enough or is competent to make this place liveable.
