Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback on Anthony Pistilli's buildings reveals a mixed management track record. Some properties are praised for spacious units, good locations, friendly supers, and quiet neighbors, especially at Ditmars Blvd and India Street. However, common issues include poor responsiveness from management, persistent pest infestations (roaches, mice, bedbugs), outdated infrastructure, frequent elevator breakdowns, heating and water problems, and unaddressed safety concerns. Several tenants criticize the owner's neglect of repairs, inadequate communication, and rent increases despite deteriorating conditions. Overall, renters should anticipate varying experiences, with well-maintained buildings being the exception and management often needing to be more proactive and tenant-oriented.

Constant Battle against my mental health

Pros

close to the subway, elevator in building. super is doing his best, laundromat in basement, rent stabilized,

Cons

building is old like pre war, thin walls, neighbor moving stuff and drops an item that sounds like a bowling ball just above where I sleep. I did not get a good rest, not able to perform well at work. Spoke to Ibro/Super and he tried but issue still persists. roaches are everywhere, elevator broke down from time to time. Water cut off is sudden, no warning.

Advice to the owners

Good location, terrible building and apartment

Pros

Good location in the West Village. Newer appliances

Cons

Terrible water leaks, mold issues and little heat. Management is not helpful
