Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenants of buildings managed by Anthony Pistilli consistently report issues with pest infestations, including roaches, mice, and bedbugs, and frequent maintenance problems like leaks and heating failures. Garbage management and cleanliness are often poor, contributing to these challenges. Many reviews mention unresponsiveness or slow response from management and owners, with some describing dismissive attitudes towards tenant complaints. While some buildings have friendly supers and good neighbors, tenants feel that overall upkeep and serious repairs are neglected. Despite several locations boasting good neighborhoods and spacious units, renters advise caution and urge management to improve maintenance, pest control, and communication for a safer, more comfortable living environment.

Great area, bad building, bad management

Pros

The neighborhood doesn't get much better than this.

Cons

It's the worst building on the block. Management isn't great.

Advice to the owners

If you want to get into West Village for under $4k/mo, you can here -- but you're going to be making compromises elsewhere.

Constant Battle against my mental health

Pros

close to the subway, elevator in building. super is doing his best, laundromat in basement, rent stabilized,

Cons

building is old like pre war, thin walls, neighbor moving stuff and drops an item that sounds like a bowling ball just above where I sleep. I did not get a good rest, not able to perform well at work. Spoke to Ibro/Super and he tried but issue still persists. roaches are everywhere, elevator broke down from time to time. Water cut off is sudden, no warning.

Advice to the owners

be attentive to the issues on hand.
