Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback for buildings managed by LAURA VIVONI indicates a generally well-maintained environment with clean apartments and attentive management. Residents appreciate prompt responses to maintenance needs and value the range of amenities offered, including renovated interiors and communal spaces. However, noise levels can be a concern due to busy locations, and some have noted issues such as high electricity costs and occasional lapses in security with package handling. While pest control is adequate, improvements in sunlight access and front desk staffing would enhance the living experience. Overall, tenants recommend these buildings, highlighting responsive ownership and good neighborly atmospheres.

Nicest apartments in Ridgewood, but…

Pros

Historic building (old Ridgewood Theatre), fully renovated, beautiful/modern apartment fixtures and appliances, lots of bldg amenities (outside deck with bbq, hammocks, lounge and work areas, kids room, laundry, dog spa), virtual doorman, responsive maintenance team

Cons

The electricity bill is absolutely outrageous. Like, $350 a month easily for our small ONE bedroom unit. I’ve never paid that much to ConEd even when I lived in a large house. It’s mostly delivery charges, not actual power usage. All of our neighbors said theirs is ridiculously high as well. Downstairs lobby is NOT staffed, so packages go missing sometimes when people buzz strangers into the building. Also the view from the roof is AMAZING but new building owners recently banned anyone from going up there (people still can technically, though).

Advice to the owners

Rehire front desk staff and care more/take more responsibility when packages go missing.
