Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant feedback on buildings managed by Heron Jones presents a mixed picture. Many appreciate the generally clean, well-maintained apartments situated in great locations with good neighbors and spacious layouts. Positive remarks often cite management's responsiveness and the quality of common areas. However, some tenants highlight inconsistent communication, occasional pest issues, and unreliable heat control. Noise can be a concern in certain buildings, especially those near busy streets or nightlife. Several reviews express frustration with slow or dismissive landlord responses, with calls for improved management attentiveness and professionalism. Overall, renters can expect decent living conditions but may encounter variability in management quality.

Great location in heart of fort greene

Pros

This apartment is large - comfortably fit our 4 roommates. Management was always responsive whenever we had issues

Cons

The heat is centrally controlled in the boiler room so there's limited control over the temperature in the winter. right on dekalb avenue, where you'll get some street noise

Close to park, updated space!

Pros

The apartment I lived in was freshly renovated- you could tell talking to neighbors that each one was in a different state, so ours seemed the most updated. You can't beat the location and access to transit and the park.

Cons

Not much communication with ownership, has a couple weird experiences with a tenant which I suppose is normal for NYC. I never minded, but the school across the street does get loud during recess if you're home during the day.
