Nice Apts in a Building Falling Apart

Pros

AMAZING location near subways, nightlife, restaurants, Whole Foods. Apartments renovated and nice! Pets allowed, neighbors cool & don’t make noise. Backyard space.

Cons

A tenement built in 1900, parts of ceiling under stairs are severely water damaged and pieces fall from ceiling. Leaking on 5th floor roof. Backyard is an overgrown jungle with rusty furniture. Incredibly loud street noise. Bowery mission is on the corner. Many groups of transient/homeless ppl around.

Advice to the owners

Fix the rotting ceilings! Offer rent relief during COVID.
