Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback on David Polinsky's buildings reveals a mixed management performance. Positive notes include friendly neighbors, convenient locations, and some responsive maintenance efforts. Pest control and heating are inconsistent, with serious issues reported in some properties, including significant roach and rodent infestations and unreliable heating. Garbage management and cleanliness vary greatly between buildings. Several reviews mention slow or poor responsiveness from management and concerns about security, package theft, and occasional neglect. Complaints about certain superintendents' behavior and allegations of discriminatory attitudes have surfaced, suggesting a need for improved staff professionalism. Overall, tenants advise enhanced building upkeep, better pest control, and more attentive management to improve living conditions.

Good building with quirks

Pros

Exterminator for in apartment 1/month Lovely neighbors Safe

Cons

Front yard appearance Mouse droppings around garbage Tacky paint in common areas Not great repairs, but get done

Advice to the owners

Have a portal to pay rent

Former tenant·8 minutes ago

Do not move to this building or any property this management company has…rodent

Pros

Cheap rent. Probably a Covid deal because we moved during covid

Cons

They have a roach problem. I have never seen so many roaches in my life. From the tiniest size to the big ones. It’s gross. In the summer there are fruit flies everywhere in the kitchen and gnats come out in the bathroom. This building doesn’t provide screens… They have been provided less heat for the past 2 years. Apparently they have a timer in the office to control the heat. The building gets a good cleaning only when new tenants are moving in. I did not open the bottom of the kitchen cabinets for the entire 4 years I lived there because I didn’t want to see the gross roach eggs. Be warned do not move to any properties this management owns. They also own the building next door.

Advice to the owners

Upgrade the entire building because it’s infested with roaches and rodents, the old kitchen cabinets and bathroom needs and upgrade to get rid of all the pest lurking underneath
