Not well up kept by the landlord

Pros

Super is nice and comes when called, nice neighbors, nice hardwood floors and nice window views, has a very small back yard and white marble flooring on the stairs, different floors have different space.

Cons

The lock is easy to get in without a key, anyone can come into the building. There is a 2 door entrance one is on the first floor and then another one right behind it that has a broken lock but is supposed to be. It was never fixed for years so basically anyone can come and leave as they please. The trash is over flowing so much so that you can't walk and the backyard looks dirty and not well maintained. There's a fence that's messed up and falling apart with barbed wire attached to it. There's a bunch of stray kittens like 6 or so who come and go when neighbors leave food, other r people throw it out. The backyard is cat Central. Inside my apartment is mold and leaked that have never been properly fixed by previous supers. There are holes in the aparments that allow roaches, insects to travel through the walls into our homes from the first floor. A exterminator comes by and throws a liquid from door to door but it's infested with roaches inside the aparments. Some walls are more hollow. Landlord has a son who is an attorney who knows about the doors being very flimsy and hasn't done anything about it. The landlord sets a date for rent with tenants but then charges them extra fees bc according to his computer rent is due on the 1st but the contract that tenants sign have different dates for when rent is due. For ex, Contract says rent is due Feb 22 but the machine says rent is due feb 1. Doesn't add up well. Preferably would feel safer if they fixed the 2 front door with real locks.

Advice to the owners

Please buy more trash cans and advise tents to properly throw out trash. Also fix the doors so tenants can feel much safer at home instead of being worried that anyone can enter because the doors are flimsy. Another thing please fix the roach infestation that is traveling through the walls and the stick to contract date with tenants. Also the basement is leaking from the pipes from one of the aparments and it seems multiple people complained about this so maybe if someone could peramantly fix the leak and mold would be great. I guess check in more with your residences needs for the building and what the super thinks can help. The building be better .
