Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback on buildings managed by Paul Moreno reveals a mixed management performance. Residents appreciate the friendly neighbors, good location, and the efforts of doormen and superintendents, contributing to a neighborhood feel. However, there are recurring concerns about building upkeep, including outdated fixtures, lack of thorough cleaning in common areas, leaking pipes, and energy inefficiencies. Communication and responsiveness are inconsistent—some tenants praise timely responses while others report neglect until issues become urgent. There is a call for higher quality contractors, better maintenance, and appliance upgrades. Potential renters should expect decent community vibes but should be cautious of maintenance and management responsiveness fluctuations.

Rent too high for very mediocre conditions and service. I moved to a smaller un

Pros

Quiet and fairly clean.

Cons

The owners/management have a very poor communication system, completely outdated, don’t respond to problems unless it’s dangerous, ignore multiple issues, hire cheap contractors that do poor jobs, multiple problems are ongoing, the building is not energy officiant, pipes leak between floors, bad conditions of walls, ceilings, paint, walls are not properly waterproofed, inner walls around windows that aren’t well installed are damp. Prices go up but the conditions in the building are not up to the standard of high rent. Because of the conditions I moved to a much smaller unit at $2,715 but the old barely working stove/oven is not replaced - cannot cook normally!!

Advice to the owners

Replace old appliances - the old ones barely work and are dangerous!!! Improve the building in general, higher quality contractors, care about your tenants, update communication and conditions of walls, pipes, energy supply. Fix leaks! Lower rent!

My honest opinion

Pros

Location is wonderful, plenty of public parking and building is maintained somewhat well

Cons

Hallways floors and elevators need to be thoroughly cleaned. Bathrooms and kitchens are out dated.

Advice to the owners

strip the hallways floors, clean the elevators daily and replace outer building doors that are difficult to open
