Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback for buildings managed by John Ilibassi reveals a generally strong emphasis on location and helpful staff, particularly noting a courteous superintendent and convenient laundry facilities. However, persistent pest issues, especially roach and occasional rodent infestations, significantly impact tenant satisfaction. Cleanliness and garbage management vary, sometimes leading to unclean common areas and trash room problems. Residents also report thin walls creating noticeable noise disturbances. Heating is inconsistent, with some tenants experiencing temperature control issues. While owner responsiveness is rated from slow to timely, there is a recurring tenant request for prioritized, regular pest control and improved property upkeep to enhance livability.

Pros

Building is in a good location, management will respond most of the time, hot water and heat are consistent, trash is always taken out when full, two laundry units downstairs, super is really nice

Cons

They provide pest control that sprays every month but it's for a reason (roaches sometimes), walls are kind of thin so you can hear neighbors/people talking and walking up and downstairs, street is a loud at night especially on weekends, packages have been stolen from time to time but not consistently
