DO NOT MOVE HERE! Management will not repair ANYTHING Major HPD Violations
Former Tenant
Pros:
Rent stabilized Tall ceilings Decent square footage units are centrally located to major train lines Location Jackson Heights phenomenal Electronic portal for rent payment Now go read the CONS - most important portion of this review
Cons:
non existence maintenance response by management and Super - we are currently in a tenants association suing the landlord for abandoning repairs and pests Between June 20205 - August 30th 2025 management cut off elevator service in retaliation to tenant law suit, individuals in wheels chairs, elderly & families were stranded in their apartment unable to go to work, doctors appointments etc.(this is google-able, we were on the news).. In 2024 elevators were out of service for over 9 months and an elderly neighbor passed away in his unit due to the neglect of management. Infestation of roaches and bedbugs Outdated units no washer dryer no dishwasher very basic appointed units - interior walls and ceilings falling down, deteriorating and management refuses to conduct any maintenance unless threatened with judgment by court judge. Brokers are charging tenants FEES to lease apartments here although they posted advertisements on Zillow - DO NOT pay the brokers they are in the managements pocket! Do yourself a favor and AVOID ALL A&E Real Estate properties - they are a cancer to NYC residents.
Advice to owner:
File for bankruptcy and sell off your buildings, if you cant afford to maintain your portfolio of rent stabilized units - you have already defaulted on $600million portfolio loan, you failed its time you pack it up
